Overview:
SMCC is a communication card with many interfacing options on a single card. The SMCC card is designed on a standard 6U form factor with non-standard (customized) BUS termination. The I/Os are terminated on two 160 pin 64x female Connectors.
SMCC card is a MPC5566 Power PC Controller based card. The Controller-MPC5566 Stands as a main CPU Controller that controls the Functionality of the Card. The SMCC card has the ability to receive control command through RS232/RS422/ Ethernet Port. The Ethernet Port supports up to 10/100Mbps. The SMCC card has an internal SRAM of 128K x 32 bits & an External 512Kx32 bits SRAM. It also has a 3MB program memory.
The SMCC Card has the following interfaces and I/O ports:
- Eight RS422 Port interfaces with programmable baud rate, parity, data bits.
- Two 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports.
- Four 5Mbps SPIL interfaces on a FPGA-Spartan 3, the FPGA consist of SPIL protocol and SPIL Communication is of the level RS 422. Users are allowed to port their own protocol into this FPGA to use their own communication on RS422 level.
- Four 2Mbps CCDL interfaces on a FPGA-Spartan 3, the FPGA consist of the CCDL protocol and CCDL Communication is of the level RS 422. The users are allowed to port their own protocol into this FPGA to use their own communication on RS422 level.
- Twenty four ±10V Analogs inputs of 14 bit resolution.
- Four ±10V Analog outputs of 16 bit resolution.
- Twenty four discrete inputs which are optically isolated.
- Eight relay channels which are 1normally open type.
- Eight discrete outputs which is optically isolated.
- External Bus expansion with 16 Bit Address and 32 Bit data Bus.
- Two RS232port interfaces with programmable baud rate.
